A Tale of Two Cities

We are a couple based in Shipley, on the edge of the Saltaire UNESCO World Heritage Site. Surrounded by rugged moorland, lush countryside, a thriving canal and the former wool capital of England, we are constantly drawing inspiration from our home. We aim to preserve Bradford's heritage of handicrafts and innovation through creating products from the heart.

MacRaes

Kirk MacRae

"Electrician by day, artisan by night. The artist behind the Dark Corner, unveiling the Old Hattery's ghosts. Inspired by the creative and industrial heritage from a village in the heart of an artistic coterie. My own heritage stems from my hardworking leatherworking artisan family, but also from the Glasgow theatre scene and many bands. Balancing music, science and living with the spirits of yesteryear goads me to become my better and truer self. I hope my work strikes a chord and sparks the soul. "

Anika MacRae

"I have always been drawn to the occult. From keeping a grimoire to reading tarot, I have dabbled in the mystical for years. I design jewellery for modern dreamers who wish to carry a part of their craft with them. Inspired by the round art of astrology, the science of astronomy and our human connection to the stars and fates, I hope the jewellery you purchase from me brings you purpose and courage to be yourself."
